1. What Athon provides

Athon gives organizers tools to create and run hackathons, including registration, workspaces, teams, chat, files, submissions, judging and results. Organizers set their own event details, eligibility rules, deadlines, judging criteria and prizes. Their event rules may add to these terms.

2. Accounts and access

Give accurate account details, protect your sign-in methods and use only access granted to you. An organizer can assign roles, restrict a workspace or remove participants from an event. You remain responsible for activity through your account.

3. Organizers and participants

Organizers are responsible for the events they publish, including applications, venue arrangements, accessibility information, judging decisions, prizes and communications with participants. Participants should read each event's rules before joining. Athon supplies the platform; it does not select winners for an organizer.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the text, documents, files and projects you upload. You give Athon permission to store, display and transmit that content only as needed to run the service and make it available to people you or your organizer authorize. Make sure you have the rights to share what you upload and understand the visibility set for each page, channel or event.

5. Fair use

Do not harass others, impersonate someone, upload malware, send spam, infringe intellectual property rights, interfere with the service or use it unlawfully. We may restrict access or remove content to protect users and the service. Organizers can moderate their own workspaces within their permissions.

6. Plans and payments

Athon may offer paid organizer plans. The plan, price, renewal period and included limits are shown before purchase. Payments and subscriptions are handled by Polar. Changes to a plan do not change an organizer's responsibility to fulfill any promises made to participants.

7. Changes and availability

We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where practical. Online services can be interrupted; organizers should keep copies of time-sensitive materials and allow for outages when planning an event.

8. Leaving Athon

You can sign out or request account deletion in Settings. Owners must transfer or delete active hackathons before deleting their account. An organizer can archive or delete its hackathon; some content may already have been seen or downloaded by others. Contact us if you need help with your data.

9. Applicable law and contact

Contact support@athon.studio about the service or these terms. The governing jurisdiction will be specified before launch.
